Unique design question for all!

Dear members,

As you know I'm a designer who specialised for GeN4 designs. I would like to give you a better service that is why I'm aasking the foloowing question:

What is better for you, admins,

- An absolutely unique design for a $110.00 - $170.00, which is only sell once for you

or

- A theme what is unique, but not only sell once, that means I make a design, but several screenshots of the design, use a shop cart system (quite same as PTCPay), so after you purchase you can download your theme inmadiately. The themes always based on the latest GeN4 script, and all of them comes with unique look and unique implemented forum design for $40.00 - $60.00.

Do you have a copyright on all unique designs that you make? If somebody copy that, what can you do? Your customer might get piss when they pay for a huge amount to get a unique design and then one day they will find out that another site has the same design.

And about the poll, why don't you consider an option for both and let your client's decide when they will get your service.

The price is for the design which made by me, but sell several times, so not absolutely unique (because the absolutely unique design is start from $110.00 as you can see on my website now).

So the $40.00 - $60.00 is for my future plan with not absolutely unique design.

Of course a design can be ripped and cloned as the script as well. PTCPay registered a copyright, but that is too expensive as far as I know to get this kind of copyright to a design.
Of course I try to protect my designs as much as I can, but there will be always someone who can steal it.

even with a copyright , it doesn't mean that you are safe from a rip.
If the website is offshore or anythings , they will not be able to do many thigns.

yep I know that, but it will secure your client's interest upon buying the "unique" theme you will create for them.

If that is your reasoning that I would not bother paying a large amount of money for a unique design that will not stay unique in the long run.

don't worry, I'm not angry nor fighting with you guys, just having a healthy conversation.

My designer is currently fighting with a guy legally who copied his design. I'll ask him how he is doing that.

Yeah I got your point. And every designer try to protect their own work altough if he/she didn't register a copyright for minimum $45.00 for 4 years (Help) the designer can't really take legal actions against others. Of course you can prove with .psd and other files that the design is yours it doesn't really mean anything without a registered copyright license.
That's why design usually doesn't have a copyright.
