Question Questions On How To Start A PTC Business

Hello. I am new to the PTC business, and I am going to start a PTC site, but I need to know more first. Here are some of my questions:
1. How to you find advertisers/sponsers that will stay with you, like a permanent/long time ad?
2. How do you charge the "long time ads"? By month? or by clicks like the other ads?
3. How do you choose which ads will be for premium users?
4. How do you get a price for them? Do you say $500 per month on the spot to the advertiser/sponser? Or do we let them decide, how much is a good amount per ad?
5. How much will you need in your paypal/alertpay after you have bought hosting/doman/GeN3/4?
6. How will you pay the members, and how will the ads pay you? Through paypal hopefully, do I need a credit card?

Thanks!!!

Hi, let me answer your questions, ok?

1.How? You have to do some research then. Most of the advertisers won't advertise on your site since it is new, you have to get members and daily hits to convince the sponsers to advertise.. If finding permanent/long time advertisers on your site is easy, then most of the PTC sites will be successful..
But sadly, most of the PTC/Bux sites failed because of this..it's not an easy task!

2. Long time ads means? depend on you, you are the admin, you decide the charging method, either by month, or clicks, most of us will go for clicks, unless the advertisers request for..
For your info, most of the PTC/Bux sites' long time ads are self-sponsored.. erm affiliate marketing? maybe

3.It's up to members to decide as the ads are purchased by them..they can either select it for premium/non-premium.. unless self sponsored ads, then you have to decide yourself..

4. Up to you.. you the admin =) Depends on your site's health, and also the click rates you set for each click, Like for instance, you set each click as 0.01$, then 1000 clicks = 10$, maybe you can sell it for 12$ or 13$, up to you... high price may freak advertisers out, unless your site is performing well and many members.. aKa high unique traffic hits..

5. Depend on you too, whether you want it to be a Big or Small? Big like neobux? then you need a hell lot of good amount for a start, erm 1000$ maybe? Imagine, you have 10k members, each member click 1 ad/day,
1 member = 0.01$, 10k members = 100$/day, means you have to prepare 100$/day ready to pay them =)

6. Up to you to decide which payment processor you wanna use, either paypal or alertpay... =)
Most of us go for 2 as they are widely/commonly use.. no credit card involve unless you want to..
Most of ptc admins prefer direct purchase and payout, means paying and purchasing directly from your paypal/alertpay account's balance..
How do ads pay you? You can either sell it via paypal/alertpay, depend on you..For example, member purchase a 1000 clicks ad package from you, he pay thru paypal by his paypal balance, so you will get the $$ direct from his balance to your account =) No credit card involve, simple, secure and fast!

Hope I answered all your questions!
Sorry for DOUBLE POSTING >< I knew it! But I can't seem to put all in 1 post.. 500 internal server error?!

Regards.

There's other important thing, the referrals you put to rent... most of ptc sites sell bots LoL

An own script would be essential, but it's very difficult to code it.

Sustentability is one of the most important thing, you have to think a lot with the upgrade prices, click prices, etc...

Leah you haven't had in mind the ref clicks, premium ref clicks and paypal fees.

I´ve a rule to calculate the advertise prices:

[[(Click Standard + Click Ref Premium)*Nº of Visits]+0.35$]*1.034= Price of that nº of visits

Or:

[ [ [Click Standard + [ (Click Ref Premium + Click Ref Standard) / 2 ] ] *Nº of Visits] +0.35$] *1.034= Price of that nº of visits

Think you have to have in mind the paypal fees, that's because I added the 0.35$ and the 3.4%.

In the most of other things I agree with Leah, have advertisers is not that easy, you need to earn a reputation, have a good site that pay, as you know, there are a lot of PTCs and the most are scams, so you need to show that your site is not as the others and that would be a good idea to advertise in there.

As an advise, think about some new thing that differences your site of the others and attract users.
I'm PTC admin since 1 year. I made some reflexions about all the things in a PTC, as premium, referrals, etc etc.
I deleted the premium as the premium is good if you have all the ads from advertisers, but with own ads can be quite bad and make you go scam.
About referrals, you need to think a rate that is good for you and fair for users, so if the refs is bad you'll get earnings, but also that the user see that can earn, if not he'll not buy.

Premium and Referrals are as a loan, as you will have to pay it after, and will have to pay more, so if you have not an external reliable font of earnings (never invest user money in a not reliable site/plan). Have this in mind also.

Finishing, some things you'ĺl need:

Paid Host and Domain (Not a expensive one, but reliable one), Different New Design (This is near one of the most important things, is the image you show),

Good Script (Gen3 is fine while Gen4 is not for sale, Gen2 is good too but you've to fix some bugs),

Basic Knowledge of HTML/PHP or have someone that knows about to help you with problems can appear,

Sustainable price rates (You can use this for calculate the advertise prices:
[[(Click Standard + Click Ref Premium)*Nº of Visits]+0.35$]*1.034= Price of that nº of visits
Or: [ [ [Click Standard + [ (Click Ref Premium + Click Ref Standard) / 2 ] ] *Nº of Visits] +0.35$] *1.034= Price of that nº of visits . About earnings per click, you've to think about but I advise you a maximum of 0.01$ per click and 0.01$ per click ref premium, as the Ad prices for 1000 visits would be arround 20$ and that's not a competitive price. Maybe 0.005$/0.0025$ for Standard and 0.01$/0.005$ for Premium would be a good price relation because you can request about 9.4/10.7$ per 1000 visits, that is a not bad price for advertisers.)

Some money in your paypal/alertpay account for can pay the users while advertisers are coming yet.

Forum, contact section and give a good support to your users and advertisers. Clear Info, updated TOS and FAQ and notice important changes and so on.

Well, those are some things to have in mind, also think about a good advertising plan, as it's one of the most important things, if the people don't know your PTC, you won't earn anything hehe.

I hope it's useful. If you have questions maybe I can help you.

P.D: (I do designs, flash, banners, logos..., so if you need one of this things send me a pm for budget and so on)

Good luck
