Talking Xbox 360 Error Codes - Diagnose Issues

As most of you know, xbox 360 is buggier then older versions of gen3 ever were.

I'm into fixing things myself so this morning when I triggered error E-68 and a mix of english/japenese text on my screen, I quickly went to the best place on the net to diagnose your xbox 360's problems.

If you own a 2005 model like myself, its covered under 100% fully warranty..the other versions/models have different exclussions/costs to fix certain things when they break. But with that said, I will only send it in if its something I can't address myself.

I was very pleased when my inqury came back as my addon/external fan was the problem. Sometimes it will over draw power and it will at times spit this error at start up.

Heres the site for diagnosing your xbox issues:

I've successfully fixed 4 Xbox 360s with Red Ring of Death, my own lasted a year and then quit again. Just word of advice, never place the xbox in any kind of cabinet, place it ontop of the cabinet or on a shelf instead. Also those external fans you place the xbox on from what i have researched most do damage not help with the heat.

If your looking for a repair kit, check out a site called LLAMMA, they sell all the supplies and guides for very cheap. they even sell the special heatsink which the newer xbox 360s come with.

I have been making some money fixing other peoples xboxes this way, charge them 50 dollars to fix, or i buy the xboxes from them with the issue, and resell them as refurbished.

Thanks for the information. I have a buddy of mine who had his fan blow out, he didn't know it, and it actually caused the system to overheat.

You'd think with all the money microsoft has, they'd make the system solid, but then again its microsoft so its kind of expected I guess..lol

If I have an issue with the system, I'll be sure to contact you. I have a buddy of mine who has a broken one sitting in his house. When I next speak with him, I'll see what he wants to do with it, perhaps you can him can work out a deal.

Thanks again for the post.
