Default I disagree with Robert

TO ROBERT :

This is according to a previous topic about ZOROBUX.COM FOR SALE where you stated that the
new owner will have to pay for the licence again. WHAT ?!?!
The licence is issued for a SCRIPT and a DOMAIN NAME, not a owners name?!
Even your "Licence Checker" shows licence is valid FOR xxxxxxxxx. com or whatever, but
not licence is valid for Mr. Peter Smith?! Correct me if im wrong...

I understand you want to make more money..lol (who wouldnt), but this is against the logic?!

For example :
Its like, I will buy a new PC (USD1000), a new Windows7 (for USD350), then I will sell the PC
to you (for USD1350), and then you will send money to Microsoft for your ALREADY LICENCED
windows?! Oh I bet you would...NOT!
Selling one script once but get paid twice?! Well...not a bad idea, but this is not how it should be!

I would like to hear MARKs opinion on that as well....please Mark if you dont mind...

If I am wrong on this one, then I do apologize, BUT THEN you should change the licence checker
to show the owners name and surname.

Thank you.

Actually its in the PTC Terms of Service.

4. You agree not to resell your GeN4 license. PTCPay allows you the right to use the GeN4 script and related services for the duration of your license.

Well...if im selling my website, I am not selling the licence, as the licence is already issued for the domain/script for a exact duration. Reselling the licence would be if I would sell the licence issued to my website to someone else for his/her other website. But if the licence has already been issued for A DOMAIN NAME, you are not reselling it if the domain is transferred to someone else. As I said, the licence is not issued for an OWNER NAME, but a domain!

When thinking about it, kabko is correct. The license is issued for a website and not a user. If the website sells (or, company), all assets for said website / company should also be transferable to the new owners, which is common for software licenses that are node locked, or otherwise licensed.

You cannot keep your domain and sell the license to somebody else which would, in my eyes fall under the reseller clause.

This is of course my own personal opinion, which may differ from PTCPay.

You are so right i am the seller of zorobux and I am not selling the license i am selling the full website to someone else it includes domain host design and all inside.
That is why i do not understand why the buyer will need to buy a new license ?

Well...then the other option will be (if they will still state that the new owner MUST pay for the licence), that you simply request a refund...

FROM REFUND POLICY :
3. Any type of dispute or chargeback will result in permanent license suspension.

If the new owner will have to buy the new licence, you no longer need yours, so you can get a refund OR partial refund for the days left on your licence (for example if you bought the annual licence 1 month ago, they should give you partial refund for the 11 months thats left on your licence)...

that would be one of the options i think if it is really a MUST for the new owner to pay for the licence...

This rule is in the tos as you all know and it has been mentioned here also. Keeping some of the same rules which were in place previously does not mean that they are a permanent thing. But for now it is going to stay how it is. We have enough to handle without dealing with this situation also and changing all the policy to fit each situation. We will cross this bridge at a latter date, till then....End of Story.

Thanks
Rob
