Default Dumb PTC domain names

I thought it would be fun to point out some domain names that are just horrible for business.
I don't know why people choose these names.
If you don't have a domain name yet, you can use this as a guide on what not to get.

If you want to point some out, make sure they are not GeN4 owners. That would not be nice =]

rastabux : mine^^
btw why not gen4 users? it's a kind of help , and domain name is just a name, if you manage to get it well known, even if it's crappy, it is doable to get it working

Hello

My opinion on this subject is that if you use a bux prefix or bux suffix, you are not going the correct path. As I explained in the Tutorial area of the GeN4 knowledge base you should build your site around the type of advertiser category you are targeting. This includes your domain name, your site design, and your targeted audience. As "bux" is associated with a particular model, and we all know that, it is a bad policy to use it due to most know this and also, ... it is not unique which is what you are going for as GeN4 is meant to be ran as an advertising business with investment options, not an investment site with advertising options.

Thanks
Rob

Hello

In this case, easy is not the correct path as you know.

We do offer unlimited domain switching, so if you are or anyone else with a bux prefix/suffix is reading this and would like to change, it is quite easy to do via the client area on PTCPay.

I would suggest an announcement to your member base/the PTC community about the change if you do decide to change names and then run a .htaccess redirect or you can use CPanel for the redirection, or you can use your domain provide in some cases to do this, and there are other methods also which can be found by using google and searching a couple keywords.

Point being, ... your name is very important and think of if this way, if you were a legit advertiser would you advertise on a bux prefix'ed or bux suffix'ed site? I would not.

Thanks
Rob

yes in this case it's true, but many people are now searching to make money only, only a few are concerned about the advertising part, and that's why most of the ptc and other scheme are failing this way. only the one who use foreced investissement and the one who uses advertising as purpose will not loose.
That's a good things to explain that i think.

Hello

Forced investments I made due to the below reasons:
1) It was a constant request to be added.
2) It provides a site with quality members, not just those who want to make a quick buck.
3) Quality members provide sustainability no matter the business model/business plan you use.
4) It is a cheat deterrent.

There is MUCH more to success in this business then just using the above new addition.

The main thing is that if you guys all follow my directions, you will all succeed. I wrote that tutorial with the hopes that it would sink in but I have not seen anyone change their ways yet. Just like the old sang goes ... you can lead horse to water but you can not make it drink.

Thanks
Rob

hehe i followed your instruction, the only things that made rastabux fail was that paypal has permanently restricted my account and then instant payment was off, and people started leaving in waiting funds, so less advertisers, less investisser etc
