if your good with changing things in the actual database, you would be able to change it wouldn't you?

It can be done via the database, anything practically can, the db runs it all, the codes only acts as roads. But this is not the method I'm doing. Doing via the database would require more money since its more indepth. The use of phpmyadmin requires a higher level of skill/time for this.

The method I'm applying Is perfect for users with one single Ip address. Such as myself. I have one ip..only one, never changes, and if you've tried to access my admin area (after this..lots of attempts...hehehe) you've seen not only does it work, but you can't even access my first layer of protection, let alone my actual admin area login page.

I wish I saw this thread before, then i would not have been hacked and had my paypal accont emptied.

A hacker did break in and stole the autopayment settings that he used to take all the money on my paypal account, and from what i now understand after investigating the security of Gen3 is verry poor.

There shold be a WARNING with the script or the addon that showmeurgoods has made should be included, but that is only imho.

I did not think the admin area of Gen3 was so wide open as it actually is....

So to anyone not using the security addons, DON'T put any info of PP or AP in your admin area, and don't enable the autopayment feature.

I only regret not having this installed when I opened the site, Gen3 without this is a high risk business. So if you have or are planning to setup a Gen3 site, contact Rob and have him install admin area security to your site.
